Lock 2, 4, 6

September 27th - November 14th, 2021

K11 Musea, Hong Kong, China

For an otherworldly experience, dare yourself to enter American multi-media and installation artist Tony Oursler’s eclectic rumination on brain stimulation and wander through the eccentric dreamscape located at the Garage in K11 MUSEA. Previously showcased at the artist’s recent retrospective at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, Taiwan, LOCK 2,4,6 debuts in Hong Kong at K11 MUSEA, a stunning multi-sensory experience as visitors navigate through a maze of synchronised projections and superimposed graphics on shaped flat panels. Inspired by the puzzle of the mind and body as well as neurological and brain imaging advances, the installation is designed to capture the inter-related feedback systems that make up human consciousness. Viewers become part of the art and the analytical process by moving from element to element, tracing the flow of cause and effect. All with the vividness of a neurotic caffeine binge brought by CURATOR ART & CAFÉ, which can be purchased on-site and picked up at the café itself (B113C, B1).

An unprecedented partnership bridging contemporary digital art and the culinary world, these drinks are inspired by Oursler’s body of work — choose from a collectible Cold Brew Coffee featuring a design inspired by the artist’s work, or with the Artsy Print Coffee featuring the artwork LOCK 2,4,6 directly printed on your cup as intricate latte art that allows you to directly sip Oursler’s creations.
