Musee d'art Contemporain Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Feb. 20 - Jun. 15, 2014
Paying tribute to the MACM's fifty-year history, this exhibition will embody a genuine dialogue between the two Montreal museums. This exhibition, a sort of aesthetic conversation, will reflect the ties of friendship that unite these two institutions and reveal the city's extensive collection of contemporary art, which is one of the most impressive in Canada. Each collection's development spheres and complementary elements will be explored. For example, installations, photography and multimedia - the classic practices of contemporary art - are well represented at the MACM, while the MMFA has focused more on mediums related to the fine arts, such as painting and sculpture, and to works from other parts of the world.
