Works in this exhibition were inspired by the geological, economic and cultural history of Colorado and its Rocky Mountain landscape. Maze contructions, cave-like spaces and mirrored, jagged edges are present throughout; evoking the rugged history of mining and mountain exploration. Collectively, these works remark upon westward expansion as a kind of distinctly American journey - one that is both individual and shared.
